Sustainable wine
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC is a wine produced in the Abruzzo region of Italy, mainly from the grapes of the Montepulciano grape variety. The vines grow on the hills of the Abruzzo area, where the warm and dry climate, combined with the right exposure to the sun and the right altitude, favors the ripening of the grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand between the end of September and the beginning of October, when the grapes have reached the right maturity. After fermentation, the wine is left to mature in wooden barrels for a few months to give it greater aromatic and flavor complexity. Finally, the wine is bottled and left to rest for a period of refinement in the bottle, before being marketed.
