Product Description

A vine of very ancient origins, widespread in Lazio since Roman times and cited by Pliny as “uva pantastica”. It is present in the area that goes from the Castelli Romani to the Lepini Mountains, up to the foothills towards the sea.

VINE VARIETY

The Bellone vine has good vigor and resists dry periods well, guaranteeing quality and balance. The bunch has a conical-cylindrical shape and spheroidal grapes with very thick golden yellow skin. The constant sea breeze helps to reach full ripeness, where excellent sugar concentration and high acidity contribute to enhancing the strong minerality. Harvest takes place at the end of September.

VINIFICATION

The vinification takes place in two phases: maceration on the skins to favor the extraction of aromas, which thus restore the pedoclimatic characteristics of the Anzio territory. After soft pressing, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts follows, which lasts for about 10/12 days at a temperature of 18/20° C.

ORGANOLEPTIC EXAMINATION

Intense yellow color with golden reflections. Sunny wine with hints of ripe exotic fruit, such as mango and papaya, contrasted by a consistent acidity that makes this wine suitable for long refinements in the bottle.
In the mouth it is very broad, rich and persistent, with light floral and spicy nuances.
It stands out for its pronounced sapidity and minerality. Very long and persistent aftertaste.

WHO WE ARE

Always for Amatrice

For over 20 years we have been selecting and bringing the best products of our land to the tables of families. After the earthquake of August 24, 2016, we were forced to completely reorganize our business, facing numerous difficulties. Courage, support and love for our city have allowed us to move forward with the same determination as before. Today our shop is located inside the Il Corso Shopping Center, built temporarily to deal with the emergency. At the same time, we have created a new e-commerce to allow many people throughout Italy to purchase our products. We are still here, as we once were, to represent and promote the original gastronomic tradition of Amatrice.
