They are also called “mule balls”, they were born on the shores of Lake Campotosto inside the Gran Sasso National Park by peasant families from Abruzzo.
Ovoid, tied in pairs with hand-knotted string, they are produced with the same tradition of the past, they are prepared from the careful selection of lean pork minced to a fine grain with salt, pepper and a seasoning of aromas from the secret blend that has been handed down for generations.
This particular cured meat is enriched by a heart of fat that sweetens its unmistakable flavour.
The secret lies in the stick inserted into the lower part of the binding which is tightened as the seasoning progresses.

WHO WE ARE
Always for Amatrice
For over 20 years we have been selecting and bringing the best products of our land to the tables of families. After the earthquake of August 24, 2016, we were forced to completely reorganize our business, facing numerous difficulties. Courage, support and love for our city have allowed us to move forward with the same determination as before. Today our shop is located inside the Il Corso Shopping Center, built temporarily to deal with the emergency. At the same time, we have created a new e-commerce to allow many people throughout Italy to purchase our products. We are still here, as we once were, to represent and promote the original gastronomic tradition of Amatrice.
